Changes made from version 15.10 to 15.40: Added support for connecting to a shifting sensor (Sram Etap or Di2 bike) that supports up to 4 front and 12 rear gears. Fixed an issue where steps were not being counted during a multisport activity. Fixed an issue where one wasn’t able to search near a waypoint.
Interested in preserving much required watch battery percentage on 5S Plus Any stats available comparing OHRM versus Ant+ HRM Run? In addition, watch battery drain using Stryd Foot-pod connected via Ant+? Of course, I can perform various activity combinations and monitor usage, but maybe data is already available?
My Fenix 5s started drain battery verry quickly last days. I didn't installed any new app, didn't changed anything and device started to drain ~ 20% per 24hr. Usually I use only garmin app, widget etc, only clock face was from shop (quattro). Thanks for the replay! Im noticing battery drain in the past two weeks, but its not related to the watch face. For example, today i went for a walk (with gps + glonass), and the battery come from 39% to 26%. Its not normal, with GPS + Glonass, it used to be, before firmware 19.10.0.0, spending 1% of battery for 12 minutes of use.

Battery draining 30% per day on Fenix 5 8327430 over 4 years ago Just within the last week my battery has been draining extremely fast on my Fenix 5. It is dropping 30% per day, without any GPS use. What can I do to fix this problem? I have only had this watch for 5 months. The software version is 14.2 Reply Top Replies

Nothing change after 14.72 software installation. Still my Fenix 6 X battery keeps only ~ 72 hours, ~1.3%/h, ~31.27%/day. Same behavior for me after updating to 14.72 beta. Went for a 3h15min run this morning and the watch went from 100% battery to 43% ! Again, the watch was working perfectly fine before january.
Real life battery duration in the wild. I purchased the fenix 5X largely in part for the battery life during ultras. I'm coming from a suunto A3P. I've had the fenis for 8 days. I'm still getting used to the garmin system and managing the features on the watch. So far the watch has been great and the gps seems to be very accurate.
Garmin quietly lumbers towards a battery fix. It seems that Garmin didn’t really believe reports from myself and many other people concerning unexpected battery drain issues. This is STILL a relatively widespread issue that seemed to come to a head at the start of 2021 when I and others posted about it (see re-post below).
Please review this Support Center article: - How to Improve the Garmin Fenix 5 Battery Life. In addition to the article, it mentions you can reset your watch. Here are…. Dragos_Fizik over 2 years ago in reply to Garmin - Chris +2. I did all this because I used a Fenix 3 for 2 years and this Fenix 5 for 3 years and I know all tips above. I like to bring to anybody's attention that the power drain for the Fenix 5X plus has drastically increased in the standard setup from factory from 5% / day to 12% / day with version 6.00 update. This is shortening your lifetime of the battery due to the increased charging cycles in time. Garmin Fenix 6 Series; Garmin Fenix 7 Series; Garmin Venu 2 and Venu 2 Plus; Garmin Venu Sq and Venu 2 Sq; so can drain the battery, and it's one you'll also need to pay $1.99 for.
RE: Fenix 5S Plus sudden increase in battery drain Update from my end about the Fenix 5S Plus from the initial post of this thread. Starting from the situation described in the beginning -- oldish watch, Garmin support not able to help further, battery drain too fast for the device to be of any use.
