According to some reports online, there are a couple of possible issues appearing in terms of the controller such as controller not working or controller suddenly stopping working or controller getting disconnected, or controller not detected at all.

Try loading the game as normal, then go to options>controller and make sure your wheel is selected then run the input wizard from there (option in bottom right corner) This is something I had to do with my DFGT from time to time. Hope this works for you because the game is so much better with a wheel. 1.

I'm using the wireless 360 controller just fine. You have to go into controls, hit the drop down at the top and switch it from keyboard and mouse to keyboard and the game pad.
It's easy to test at least. Right click on Steam.exe and select "Properties" then select the "Compatibility" tab and near the bottom you will see a section under "Settings," Put a check mark in "Run this program as an administrator" then start Steam up and test it out. #6. I've been able to use the keyboard + controller option for a few weeks but yesterday after starting the game, I got a pop-up asking if I wanted to use the controller to control the mouse in menus. I accepted and that works fine but now my keyboard and mouse won't work in the game. They work fine if I have keyboard only selected. I then turned off the option to use the controller for the mouse
Edit3: After some testing, I can't get the controller to work in any useful way on menus. However, I can get the controller to work for driving mode, but only i unplug the controller then plug it back in when I start driving. If at any point I go back to the menu, I have to replug the controller to get it to work again.

Hi all, I’m using ets2 1.28 with Logitech G29 wheel and shifter. I can’t activate my CC and dno,t know why. I already check some discusions and try to set the dead zones for the pedals and it didn’t help. I also tříd to switch of the auto retarder, also no help. I'm playing whichever version is the current one. The controller worked just fine in the past, configured it in the game back then. Now the game refused to recognise the controller so I had to configure it in steam, and it kinda worked at first, but after I finally got all the controls as I wanted them, the throttle and brake stopped working.
Hey guys, I installed the other day euro truck simulator 2 (Steam). It recognised the connected xbox controller in the settings but when I try using it, there is no response. So far the controller worked with everything else I tried with without an issue. Is there a way to make it work or is this just one of those issues where I can hope a fix
