I have a 2010 Mondeo TitaniumX SCTi with the 6 speed powershift 6DCT450 gearbox with just over 100k miles on it. A few weeks ago the engine stalled when coming to a stop and the the car hesitated to move under very light acceleration when parking. I had the gearbox oil filter and oil replaced with genuine Ford parts and the car drove fine.
This is because a car’s transmissions are operated through a computer system, which is powered by the battery. If the battery has corroded and the connections are starting to die, this may not shut the vehicle down, but can instead cause transmission problems off and on. Even if the battery’s connections are affected, the engine may still
4,898. First thing to do is get the gearchange cables checked and adjusted. Gearboxes on these are usually extremely durable, cable problems can lead to jumping out of gear occasionally. It is more likely to be a clutch or hydraulic problem than something physically wrong with the box. 19 Mar 2009 at 20:12. #3. The dreaded transmission fluid change! Not so bad if you can get the car up level. These are my notes for my own use. Information from 'official' Ford and Volvo sources. The high price of fluid from Ford will keep you guessing whether to buy 6 or 7 litres. I get FUCHS in 20 litres for the same price. Keeps well. Any corrections etc appreciated.
It could be that the front back one needs adjusting to push it more into gear. (i.e. 1st/2nd 3rd/4th 5th/rev) The adjustment is at the gearbox end of the cable, its a fiddly plactic clip and threaded bar arrangement. Try seeing of you can move it one notch at a time time to see if it improves.
I have a 2013 Focus auto and about 6 weeks ago I had a similar problem. It was shuddering so much that I had a "Transmission Malfunction" warning message. A mechanic put it down to me not pressing down hard enough on the pedal and after discovering that I'd filled up with Tesco petrol, he wasn't surprised it was showing the message as I usually The ford auto box is very reliant on the fluid being intact. I breaks down with use and can lead to failure of the box if in poor condition. I have no issue with this, it works hard and its a good gearbox. Change the fluid and it will last the lifetime of the car. The thing that really annoyed me is that it is not in the service schedule.
Very stiff gear shift when cold. I just bought a second hand Mondeo MK3 2004 2.0L Petrol Manual transmission with 78.000km driven. I've noticed that shifting gear is sometimes extremely stiff when I start it up in the morning. This morning I had to really put force to put the car in reverse. After a few shifts it gets much better to the point

Posts: 136. MC Mondeo dual clutch automatic problems. It looks as if the Ford wet clutch transmission develops a similar problem to the dry clutch, sadly. My car is an October 2012 MC Mondeo Titanium, 2.0L turbo petrol with the dual clutch automatic. I bought it as a demo in July 2013, with 8000 km on the clock and it’s currently showing 67,000.

Their new cars shudder, jerk and slip out of gear. And they say they cannot get the problem fixed. A Channel 4 Action News investigation found hundreds of people around the country saying

I have a 2011 Mondeo Zetec with 96,000km. Last week my car started to jerk, so I went to the service dealer, only to be told that the transmission has gone. A new transmission would cost $15,000 to replace. The car is insured for $10,500. I think this is a job for Fair Trading.

There was a change in 2007 from a four-speed auto to a six-sped auto. The four-speed had a dipstick, check your owner's manual for the location, but the six-speed didn't. You need to take that to a dealer or an auto transmission specialist to have it done. Ford Mondeo 2007: Rear brakes worn-out.
Car is 2001 x-reg Mk3 2.0 Petrol Auto Zetec Mondeo with 69k. Only problem I know of is ticking tumble flaps (removing them next week). I have noticed another issue twice now : 99% of the time the car behaves as it should. Very occasionally (it's happened twice) I seem to lose power. I will be tootling along at, say, 30 and need to accelerate.
