The Prius hybrid battery is made up of 14 blocks wired in series. In each block, there are two modules in series. b. The blocks are numbered 1-14. Block 1 is the block that has the negative terminal of the 14 blocks. In gen 3 Priuses, block 1 is closest to the ECU, in gen 2, block 1 is the furthest from the ECU. c.
It depends on your 12v battery health, but no longer than 2 weeks. If the battery is weak then it may last even less time. If you're not going to drive for long periods you should disconnect the 12v battery entirely or put it on a battery tender. The hybrid battery only needs to be topped up once every 2 months or so.Steve - I just had the Antilock Braking System fail in my 2010 Prius. Apparently this is a problem Toyota knew about and did extend the warrant to 10 years or 150,000 miles whichever comes 1st.The Dr Prius app showed the below battery reading, which looks like module 4 is bad to me. The Torque (lite) app gave me the P0a80 code that I already knew about, as well as P3014 which seems to just more specifically say that module 4 is bad vs P0a80 that more generally says the hybrid battery is having problems.
