İ agree with Pnar that Bodrum would maybe be the better choice for you.You say you want nice beaches and good walks and good night life but you don't mention historical places so this may be doesn't feature too highly for you,therefore the lovely Bodrum peninsula would offer you a good choice of pleasant walks,there are some lovely villages around

Bodrum is a very very touristy place that does have lots of British tourists and is very commericialised. Fethiye is a working Turkish town. If you want the real Turkey would recommend Fethiye. If you have time before or after the cruise lots to see and do around Fethiye, steeped in History also good diving in the area.
Bodrum does attract a younger crowd, but is still relatively popular with families. But Antalya does have better beaches. I'd suggest looking at the accommodation reviews, which can compared with the numbers of reviews by other groups, like numbers of solo/friend/couple & family reviews. Mla1V3.
