Bodrum is a very very touristy place that does have lots of British tourists and is very commericialised. Fethiye is a working Turkish town. If you want the real Turkey would recommend Fethiye. If you have time before or after the cruise lots to see and do around Fethiye, steeped in History also good diving in the area.
Bodrum does attract a younger crowd, but is still relatively popular with families. But Antalya does have better beaches. I'd suggest looking at the accommodation reviews, which can compared with the numbers of reviews by other groups, like numbers of solo/friend/couple & family reviews.
